The Marshall Heights Housing Area was a housing development for American soldiers and their families. The development included apartment buildings, an elementary school (kindergarten through 8th grade), a youth center (AYA - American Youth Activities) and a supermarket (Commissary), which was later moved to Harvey Barracks.


The Marshall Heights Housing Area was part of a larger military complex that also included Harvey Barracks and Larson Barracks. These facilities housed up to 3,500 American soldiers and their families.
