At the time I took these shots, parts of the old Army site were still off-limits to the public.


The buildings that got handed over for civilian use had already been sold off — some were fixed up and were already running in their new roles.


The old HAWK site, including the ammo dump, plus the staff buildings down in the southern section, were still locked down behind temporary fencing and watched by a contracted security outfit.


After eight years of sitting idle, Mother Nature’s slowly taking the place back.
